The green light used in the work bombards the color sensing cones in the viewers eyes. After a couple minutes in the space, the viewers eyes adjust to this and a perceptual shift takes place, causing the light in the next room, which the viewer as just entered from, to have an intense pinkish hue. Since this phenomenon deals with the mechanics of the human eye, it cannot be seen in documentation of the work.
